Samson

I have a sweet friend Lisa who is also a fellow photographer.  She and I took the kids out last week to scout out a potential location and it was fun to have a chance to photograph her adorable boys.  I'm so used to chasing my little ones around and begging for smiles that it was such a breath of fresh air to have some older boys that actually took direction and *gasp* looked and smiled at the camera!

She and her youngest came by our place awhile ago and for some reason my son kept calling him Samson.  I have no idea why, it doesn't even sound like his real name (Jack), but he was insistent and would run around the house saying, "Samson!  Samson!"  Jack eventually realized that he was "Samson" and I think was a bit confused but flattered (as flattered as a 6 year old can be at least).  Well I would like you to meet a modern-day Samson - handsome and sweet ...

I can't decide if I like the color or black & white edit best - what do you think?

Did I mention fun-loving and strong?

Ah! So fun to see these of my jack! Great shots, Mindy! I love them :) Yes, he did mention after we left your house that day that, "everyone should call me samson" ! So cute. I don't know which i like best of the bw and the color, either! I like them both :) Thanks for taking these. Very fun.

These are very fun! I think I like the color a tad better than the black and white. You have such pretty light and it gets lost a little bit in the conversion. What a cute family :)

Thank you for the feedback ladies, color is usually my favorite choice as well.

Hi Mindy,

I really like this post and it made me laugh...I like the one of Emily in b&w and the one of "Samson" in color since his pants are dark in that pic.
