"Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him... 'I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth." - Genesis 9:13-16
This was the first time I can remember seeing a perfect rainbow - the beginning and end were vividly displayed over a city as we passed along the freeway. This was my attempt to capture the incredible sight.

These are not technically correct which is why I posted my shooting information, but give a girl a tiny break as these were taken while I was driving home from the weekend at my sister's, going 70mph in the rain just pointing and shooting my good 'ole camera one-handed at the beauty all around me (and praying for safety amidst my one-handed driving). Have I mentioned I love storms and rainy weather? I also adore the lovely sunshine of Spring - I'm just a jumbled mix of contradictions.

I love rainbows and storms too :O) I have to admit I am terrible at taking pictures while I drive too :O)
So beautiful!
Love these! I love the scripture reference. Just feel the love with the rainbows. The sunset is lovely.
Gorgeous! I'm impressed that you took these while driving.
Kind words are a balm to my heart. :) Alicia - are you really impressed or just a tad bit afraid to let your boys ever ride with me? :)
Each and every one of these images are stunning. Beautiful!
Thank you Shannon.
Uh-oh - I just showed my husband these pics and got a big "no, no" look and tiny lecture. No more picture taking while driving I guess, especially with the kids in the car. :(
