I introduced my beautiful new niece on my family blog, but wanted to share some (okay - LOTS of) photos on this blog as well. Meet Skye, a precious, easy-going, bundle of love:
I have decided doing newborn photography is tough stuff! I see these amazing photos from other photographers with babies propped up and posed so cute, sleeping away, and I have YET to have a baby that would sleep for me! I've tried turning the heater up, having mom feed them, etc., etc., but I guess my little newborns are just too excited for their photography debut and like to keep those peepers open! Good thing Skye has such lovely eyes.
Awww...an early smile with mom:
Which do you like better - color or this black & white?
I definitely had fun playing with different processing on these pictures.

I love this one of Skye in the foreground with a picture of her mommy and daddy (taken at my wedding almost 10 years ago) in the background:
A little mommy-love:
Love you Sis and Skye - can't wait to see you again soon!

I think I like the black and white and sepia tones because they have such beautiful dark hair and fair skin. The bw really showcases their beauty! Btw, we called Skylar "Sky" for short all the time. She just asked me who the baby was on the computer and I said "Skye." She said "another Skye? like me?! She's cute like me too!" ha!
She is sweet! I love the black and white ones the best. You got some really great shots of her considering she can't even hold up her head yet :)
SOOO precious! I have a cousin named Sky! Well done :)
You did a great job! I agree, I think newborns are quite a challenge :O) I like the black and white one best :O)
MomBrose - so funny about Skylar! I can't wait to meet her in person.
Glad you guys like them and especially the b/w ones - it's always hard for me to decide on my favorite processing for a photo. Don't be surprised if you see more Skye shots in the future. :)
So precious. Nice job with this newborn shoot! I actually really like the photos where the babies are awake and alert.
