I Heart Faces

A couple of my friends are avid readers and participants of the I Heart Faces website/blog.  This website has weekly photo challenges and this week's theme is "Smiles".  I'm always trying to improve my technical photography skills, but also trying to explore the creativity of the art and my vision for photography.  One of my favorite aspects of a photo is the emotion you can see, feel and sometimes even hear.  My entry this week is based more on the emotion and subtlety of the entire story being told then on just a single smile (which I have thousands of pictures of):

16/52 - Project 52 {Seeing Double}

I had the privilege to go out with a couple of professional photographers last Saturday evening.  One of them, Sandy, had just gotten some new lights and was excited to play around with them.  This was one of the shots that I got and this effect was achieved completely by accident but I really think it's fun:

Sibling affection...I'm filled with joy when I see my children loving on one another and I'm sure the mom of these two feels the same.

14/52 - Project 52 {Silly Big Boy}

I already posted over at my personal blog about my boy's trip to the bank, but I wanted to use one of the pictures for my {Project 52} as well.

I think this boy has more personality in his pinky than his mommy has at all!  So much fun to wake up every morning to this sweet and silly face.

Oh how I love my husband's homegrown tomatoes!  No question the most amazing tasting tomatoes ever and I'm so thankful for the free squash and other veggies he grows in our annual summer garden.
